Upcoming PlayStation 5 Opens Doors for New Game Developers; No More CD's for the New Console

Early talks regarding the forthcoming PlayStation5 are now taking place and the game developers are given the complete role in the decision making.

This is according to Sony's Worldwide Studio President Shuhei Yoshida during an interview by Recode in which he confirmed this full freedom for the developers, including the decision of having more machine power. Yoshida further stated that a great opportunity is waiting at the Sony Computer Entertainment of America for the company's next senior game developer who can help them in creating a game that will be used for R & D which is related to the next generation of gaming system. This, he added, is a rare chance for somebody who has a deep passion for gaming.

It also appears that Sony has already begun employing more developers to be included in the forthcoming PlayStation 5. The company has already put into advertisement their search for the new game developers, Attack of the FanBoy reported.

Although the development has started early, it is still unlikely for the forthcoming PlayStation 5 to be released before the year 2020.

Meanwhile, the editor of the PlayStation magazine Ben Wilson has confirmed that the specs are less likely the ones most of us are thinking for the forthcoming PlayStation 5. With the increasing numbers of downloadable games, it is more likely for "PlayStation 5" to be in the form of a streaming service, Tech Radar reported.

In the same interview, Wilson added that while steam of PC platform has made disc drives become less important, he does not see it being gone entirely soon. He believes that there will always be people who will choose the attractive packaging and special editions over the invisible downloads. These people, according to him are the ones who will make sure that disc drives remain within the gaming world in a different form.
