Kevin Bright, one of the producers of the popular NBC sitcom "FRIENDS," has reportedly listed his Malibu home for $14 million.
News of Bright's listing comes just days after "Friends" star Matthew Perry listed his "sober living" pad in the area for $12.5 million. Perry has other properties in the area, one of which was put up for rent last year at an asking price of $40,000 a month.
Just like "Chandler", Bright is also taking tenants for the residence at $75,000 a month, just in perfect time for summer.
Property records reveal that this isn't the first time the home has been listed. It first debuted with a $17.5 million price tag in 2009, but was de-listed the following year. It is the first time the home is being offered as a rental though.
Bright purchased the beach-front pad for $2.07 million in 2000. Listing records state that the residence is a large single-family house with about 80 feet of private beach access. Comprised of five bedrooms and six bathrooms, the place has hardwood flooring, vaulted drywall and wood-beamed ceilings. The open floor plan and the floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors offer the ultimate beach-side living experience.
The property has a main residence and a detached 4-bedroom space that can be used as a recreation area or a guest house. The main house has multiple decks opening out to the ocean, a large living area, a theater, a modern kitchen and walk-in closets in the master suite.
The property offers a large 13-car parking garage, a poll and lounging areas outside.
The listing (with photos) describes the residence as a "one-of-a-kind beachfront paradise."
Bright recently moved into an apartment in Residences at W Boston in the Theater District of Massachusetts city. Speaking of his experience in the building, he told Boston magazine in a 2013 interview:
"We watched the building go up from scratch."
"As it took shape, I looked across to this apartment and said, 'Ooh, it's got a view of the river, a view of the Common, and it's facing the other way, too. That's the apartment I need to be in.'" he added. "Others might have been put off because it's not rectangular, but I had a few ideas about what I could do with the space."
Bright also spoke of how the entertainment industry had changed over the years since "Friends" ended. In a separate interview with TV Guide, Bright emphasized that there was no chance of the series or a spin-off in the future. However, when urged about how he imagined the future of the characters, he said:
"I'm hoping that Ross and Rachel, and Monica and Chandler, and Phoebe and Mike are still married and living happily ever after," he said. Monica and Chandler would be living in Westchester with three kids -- twins via surrogate and one on their own -- and Chandler would be the owner of his own number-crunching business ... a WENUS organization, if you will. Rachel and Ross had another baby, a sibling for Emma; Joey's a star after getting his big break; and Phoebe opened a chain of holistic spas across the country."
