It has been more than a decade since "Kill Bill: Volume 2" hit the cinemas but Quentin Tarantino just revealed he might just do another sequel, "Kill Bill: Volume 3."
Tarantino, who is both the writer and the director of the "Kill Bill" films, confirmed that he has plans of resurrecting Beatrix Kiddo, also known as The Bride, to the big screen after years of hiatus as an assassin. Although the award-winning director has not absolutely confirmed the comeback of the yellow-clad heroine, he said that he is really thinking about a third movie installment, noted Pedestrian.
"Well one, me and Uma [Thurman] would have a really good time working together again. And I wanted the character to have ... I put that character - not Uma, I put Uma through a lot too - but I put that character of Beatrix Kiddo through a lot. And so I wanted her to have this much time for peace," the 52-year-old filmmaker said.
Tarantino added that he wanted the character of Beatrix to have time with her daughter and enjoy the life of an ordinary person for a while.
According to Uproxx, Uma Thurman, who played Beatrix in the first two films, is willing to star in another "Kill Bill" film if and when Tarantino decides to push through with the plan. Thurman never had another project with the director after "Kill Bill: Volume 2."
In addition to his plans, the screenwriter has already thought of a possible plot for the third revolutionary martial arts film. "Kill Bill: Volume 3" will be set decades after the first sequel where Copperhead, the daughter of Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox), will take her revenge on Beatrix for the murder of her mother.
The first two "Kill Bill" movies were released in 2003 and 2004 and both had topped the box office list during their opening weekends.
