Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update: Sony Xperia C4 Gets Update to Receive Fingerprint Feature, App Drawer, Google Now, Mobile Payments Update; 13 Sony Devices to Follow

Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the latest Android operating system, is now officially made available to Sony Xperia through over-the-air (OTA) update. The roll-out is expected to start in the first quarter of 2016.

Sony Xperia C4 will be having a total overhaul, a sweet treat from Google dev as it is finally bound for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the first few months of 2016. Being the newest, operating system of Android, Marshmallow offers a number of awesome key features at superb functionality and of highest quality.

Though Sony, the Japanese tech company, has not made a statement yet about the roll out, the Marshmallow software update will most likely to be available to Xperia C4 by then, Micro Max reported.

Sony Xperia C4 was released in June 2015. It is equipped with a whopping, 5.5-inch display, boasting a IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a scratch-resistant glass. It is also armed with an impressive 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper. The device offers 2GB of RAM and packs a 2,600 mAh non-removable battery.

Sony Xperia C4 users will be expecting the following top-notch features and improvements from the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software update:

- Fingerprint feature. This feature offers a support for fingerprint scanners devices that run the latest Android operating system. This fingerprint support is quite helpful when it comes to confirming orders online, unlocking phones, purchasing Apps, and everything in between, Android Pit reported.

- Mobile payments. The update supports major credit cards, which include American Express, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover. Google Pay is also available.

- App Drawer. This feature offers an all-new, spectacular design. It allows you to scroll vertically, instead of the usual horizontal way scrolling against a white background.

- Power and Charging. Expect longer battery life with this operating system. It uses motion detectors that control the phone when not in use. It also removes background processes.

- Google Now. This feature is way smarter than before. It offers answers and knows a wide range of different contexts while helping the user to take actions.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is also confirmed to 13 other devices of Sony.
