The winter finale of "The Flash" season 2 promises chaos. Episode 9 will bring out 3 villains that Barry Allen needs to stop from seizing Central City.
After the yearly crossover episode, "The Flash" is now back on its regular installment, which is also the finale episode for the first half of season 2. NewsaRama reports that an extended trailer has already been released.
In the said extended trailer of the midseason finale, it's been noted that some of the known rogues will be reunited in the "The Flash" season 2 episode 9. Obviously, Barry Allen has to deal with them so that no harm will fall upon the people of Central City.
"The Flash" season 2 episode 9 synopsis also reveals that Joe West together with her daughter Iris will finally meet Wally West.
Cartermatt says that the winter finale title of "The Flash" season 2 is "Running to Stand Still." Episode 9 spoilers state that Leonard Snart, James Jesse, and Mark Mardon unite to bring in chaos. It is going to be an ending "like never before as some people are out to destroy 'The Flash's' holiday spirit."
In a separate report of Cartermatt, it says that the reason why Captain Cold, The Trickster, and The Weather Wizard are going after Barry Allen is because of Zoom. "The Flash" season 2 episode 9 will not end without including Zoom in the storyline.
The site states that looking at the extended promotional video of "The Flash" season 2 episode, "it seems that first and foremost Zoom is the reason why these three characters are all attacking The Flash now. They feel like he's the most vulnerable at the moment, and therefore could be distracted."
Though the concept of Zoom has already been released, it doesn't guarantee that he will be around the whole time in the winter finale. However, Screen Rant says that "design certainly paints the picture of a formidable foe that Barry will have to face again."
