Dal Shabet Down to Four Members With Jiyul and Ga Eun Leaving; Girl Group Announces An Anniversary Comeback

Jiyul and Ga Eun are leaving the K-Pop group Dal Shabet, reducing the group to four members.

According to AllKpop.com, the contract of the group with Happy Face Entertainment has already expired and the two girls decided not to renew. Instead, Jiyul and Ga Eun are taking on a new path. Jiyul is venturing out into acting, while Ga Eun will study fashion.

The two ladies posted a handwritten letters online to thank their co-members, their fans and all other people who have been part of their Dal Shabet journey. Meanwhile, life goes on for the remaining members.

"Our members have a comeback ahead of them. Serri, Ah Young, Woohee, and Subin are going to make a comeback with a tremendous song. Please look forward to it a lot. We would be grateful if you supported them greatly and a lot so that they can gain strength on whatever stage they stand," Jiyul and Ga Eun said.

MTN reported (via girlgroupzone) that Happy Face Entertainment reveals that they are planning a comeback for Dal Shabet as part of their fifth anniversary in January. A mini album will be released, which will include a solo song written and composed by Subin herself.

The group was formed in 2011 and debuted on Jan. 3 of that year with the release of "Supa Dupa Diva." It was created by E-Tribe under Happy Face Entertainment. The original members are Viki, Serri, Ah Young, Jiyul, Ga Eun and Subin. Viki left in May 2012 to pursue a solo career and she was replaced by Woohee.

Their latest EP album titled "Joker Is Alive" was released on April 15, with the carrying track "Joker." Dal Shabet also released their first Japanese-language album "Hard 2 Love" on Nov. 4. They went to Japan to promote the said album in November, which ranked at number 16 on the Oricon Chart in Japan, according to The Korea Times.
