‘Star Wars Episode VIII’ in the Works; Kathleen Kennedy Says John Boyega is Joining the Film [VIDEO]

As recently confirmed by Lucasfilms president Kathleen Kennedy, John boyega is joining Rian Johnson's forthcoming "Star Wars Episode VIII." In a special press event of the JJ Abrams film "Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens" Kennedy verified that Johnson and Abrams are in talks since Johnson was about to start filming "Star Wars Episode VIII."

Lucas Films had also added the "Episode 7" cast beside her while patting Boyega's back, added that the team is ready to move on in January 2016. Boyega is a former stormtrooper named Finn in The Force Awakens, and along with him also are Harrison Ford, Gwendoline Christie and Oscar Isaac.

Kennedy also explained that they have not yet outlined every single detail, although everyone in the "Star Wars Episode VIII" is discussing and working hard together to conceptualize the film. She said that the fans will surely see that the production has moved forward with the movie.

The story will be expanded in the new "Star Wars" film franchise just like how Leia and Luke were explored completely in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, Rey and Finn are plan to follow same direction in the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VIII."

"Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens" happened 30 years after "Return of the Jedi," it features a combination of both new and villains and heroes played by,Simon Pegg, Max von Sydow, Boyega, Isaac, Christie, Ford, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher, etc.

JJ Abrams "Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens" will premiere in cinemas worldwide on December 18th which is less than a couple of weeks from now. Below is the latest trailer of the said film.
