‘Platinum End’ Chapter 2 Manga Review: Story Solidly Set-up, Excellent Plot, & Great Artwork

Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata new manga "Platinum End" has recently released its chapter 2. Reviews say that aside from a great artwork, it also has an excellent plot and solidly set-up story.

Game Industry says that it is already expected that "Platinum End" would have a great artwork, since it is the written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. This duo is always known for its excellent work. Just look back at their previous manga "Bakuman" and "Death Note," both received high ratings from its readers.

Report also states that the "Platinum End" appears to be an overshadow of "Death Note in terms of just sheer explicit material covered."

Fandom Post on the other hand says that "Platinum End" has come out strongly on its first chapter. It has set-up a lot of material for its main character, Mirai Kakehashi.

If one could recall the synopsis of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata new manga, Viz Media's description reads: "As his classmates celebrate their middle school graduation, one student's mind seems to be elsewhere. His name is Mirai and he has a dark secret. All humans deserve to find happiness, but Mirai may need some salvation from above in the form of an angel."

As far as Chapter 2 of "Platinum End" is concerned, the 53 pages of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata new manga is pretty much like "filling in the blanks of what's going on" with the main character. Nasse is reveling to Mira what he needs to know, although not the entire thing. The critic notes that while the narrative is solid, it is the artwork that sells to the next level. "It has such a level of polish, detail and strong layouts to it that you really do read it through a few times to take it all in." Fandom Post gives this digital installment a rating of B+.

Anime UK News says that while the main feature of "Platinum End" chapter 2 is more on establishing the characters and plot elements, but the sexual scene also stands out. Thus, this manga is "pushed up to a 'Mature' rating. However, while for many this will be gratuitous, things take a dramatic turn near the end of this sex scene."

Overall, the second installment of "Platinum End" is very entertaining. The chapter ended introducing the other go candidate, which is clever because this excites the readers. It implies that greater things are about to happen in the next chapters. The critic rated Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata 9 out of 10 for this release.
