'Legends of Tomorrow' News: Taps Director Joe Dante to Helm an Episode; New Poster Released, Revealing Complete Roster

The CW's showrunners of DC's "Legends Of Tomorrow" are tapping Director Joe Dante to helm an episode of the series. The recent poster of the spinoff series has already been released, revealing the complete roster of legends that are ready to take down Vandal Savage.

According to Collider, a tweet of "Arrow" creator Marc Guggenheim in his official twitter account confirms that Sarah Nicole Jones as co-writer with Cortney Norris. The tweet is a photo of the script of episode 108 of "Legends of Tomorrow." The image also confirms that director Joe Dante will helm episode 108.

Report also states that this news was also confirmed by Joe Dante in his twitter account, stating that it's true he's directing an episode of "Legends of Tomorrow." Dante is known as the "filmmaker behind Gremlins and Gremlins 2." The title of episode 108 is "Night of the Hawk."

Obviously, the title of episode 108 suggests that it's all about Hawkgirl and Hawkman. Screen Crush states that "Legends of Tomorrow" will have 15 episodes. The premiere of the spinoff series is slated on Jan. 21, 2016.

On a separate report, Melty says that a new poster of "Legends of Tomorrow" has already been released. Of course, the official poster features the complete members of the team: Atom, White Canary, Rip Hunter, Heatwave, Firestorm, Hawkgirl and Hawkman. All of them are ready to risk their lives and fight against Vandal Savage.

The complete description of the upcoming TV series, "Legends of Tomorrow" reads: "When heroes alone are not enough, the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat - one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?"

Now aside from the poster, an official logo has also been revealed for Hawkgirl. According to We Got This Covered, "the avian-style symbol was posted on the network's official Instagram page, and will be used to represent the winged pair as they join their fellow heroes (and villains) to take on the might of the immortal Vandal Savage (Casper Crump)."
