Abi Titmuss, now professionally known as Abigail Evelyn, has landed a role in the Emmy-award winning daytime soap on NBC, "Days of Our Lives."
TV presenter John Leslie's ex-girlfriend, who used to be a tabloid favorite, debuted on DOOL last Thursday, Dec. 10, as Nurse Jackie. In real life, before she came into the limelight, she is actually a nurse by profession.
Irish Examiner said Abi moved to Los Angeles from London earlier this year to pursue her acting career. She took to Twitter and invite fans to catch her on Days. She wrote, "Watch me at 1pm today! on @nbcdays @nbc #NurseJackie #daysofourlives #excitingstoryline."
Titmuss also posted a screen cap of her scene on Instagram along with a caption, "So happy to announce I've joined the cast of NBC's Emmy award winning 'Days of Our Lives'!"
Abi first shot into fame (and controversy) when she was with Leslie, the girlfriend who stood by him as he face rape charges that were later cleared. Even after the couple called it quits, she continued to become known through modeling, as Daily Express reported. Abi made it to number 7 of FHM's list of 100 Sexiest Women in the World.
Then came the sex tape of her and Leslie with another woman. According to Daily Express, she was then a roving reporter on the Channel 4. When the sex tape was made public, they had to sack her and all came crashing down.
But Abi bounced back and is taking chance of fulfilling her real passion in life. In an interview with Daily Mail, she said, "Now I just want to do what I love, which is act. LA is like the Olympics of acting. Everyone is young, talented and hot."
"I have to hone my craft. I sacrificed a lot to be here. I left behind loved ones and everything that was familiar to me. But I believe if you leap, the net will appear," she added.
