Jon Snow is Alive, Parentage Rumors Surface While One Actor Confirms Character Won't Be in 'Game of Thrones' Season 6

It is official that Jon Snow is alive. According to The Times, actor Kit Harington has been seen around "Game of Thrones" Belfast set and his character, Jon Snow, is reported to be making preparations to lead an army of Northerners in a war against the Boltons.

Now that Jon Snow is alive, two more rumors are making swirls. One is about Jon Snow's parentage and the other one suggests that he and Sansa will be reunited.

Starting with the former, according to The Times, it has been speculated for a long time that Ned Stark is not Jon's father. So fans have theorized that Jon might be the descendant of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark based on the evidence implied when Sansa said a Targaryen prince raped her aunt. Having said this, the publication points that Jon Snow could be part Targaryen and at the same time a nephew to Daenerys, which makes Jon a prospective heir to the iron throne.

With the other rumor, several reports say that Jon and Sansa will be reunited and together they will defeat her enemies. With Jon's help and the new ferocious side of her awakened after she was raped by her new husband Ramsay Bolton, rumors suggest they could be triumphant.

Whether those rumors are true or not, it will only be uncovered after "Game of Thrones" returns to HBO for Season 6. However at this early point, it is already confirmed that Mark Gatiss will not be in the show next season, though he does not know what really is the ending for his character Tycho Nestoris.

According to Express UK, the 49-year-old British actor said to Entertainment Weekly, "I had dinner with Dan and David when we were in Croatia filming last year and I made what I thought was a very cogent pitch to be the last character alive in the whole saga. There should be a crane shot, everybody's dead except me. Because, clearly, the only person who can survive is the bank."

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 is the first season that will go ahead of the release of George RR Martin's book. The show returns in April 2016.
