'The Walking Dead' Star Lauren Cohan Shows Off New Pixie Cut; Fans Panic Her New Look Has Something To Do With Her Character As Maggie

"The Walking Dead" star Lauren Cohan showed off her new pixie hair last Friday at the Jingle Ball in NYC. She was absolutely a head turner, but fans were wondering if her new look has something to do with her character in the popular zombie apocalypse drama.

Cohan plays as Maggie on "The Walking Dead" and all throughout the seasons, she was always seen with a shoulder length hair. US Weekly reported that fans freaked out when they saw Cohan's new hair.

According to Design & Trend, as soon Lauren's shorter hair hit social media, it created a fuzz. There were good comments that states how lovely she looks on it. People shared that other fans even pointed out that Maggie now has a closer resemblance to her comic book character. While others were worried if that also calls for a big change in her character as Maggie. Some "TWD" fans speculated that Maggie is going to die in the final season.

In the recent episodes of "The Walking Dead" Season 6, it was revealed that Maggie was pregnant with her first child with Glenn. It is a "bittersweet" development for Maggie and Glenn given their situation in the zombie series.

However, if Cohan will not be killed off in this season and she had her new hair cut after the production of the current instalment, then there is no reason for fans to fret about it. Lauren still has more or less six months to let her hair grow back to its previous length. The filming for "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is set to begin in May 2016.

For now, "The Walking Dead" Season 6 is on break and it is set to return in February 2016.
