‘Jurassic World 2’ News & Spoilers: Film Sequel to Focus on More Mutated Species of Dinosaurs; Claire Dearing Will Be the Main Heroine

"Jurassic World 2" is not even close to the start of production, but news about the sequel to the hit 2015 dinosaur flick has already been circulating online.

New spoilers for the upcoming "Jurassic World 2" surfaced after Colin Trevorrow, the director and co-writer of "Jurassic World," talked about his plans on how he wanted the movie to continue. According to Cross Map, Trevorrow said that the sequel will be focused more on the dinosaurs.

"When you look back at nuclear power, and how that started, the first instinct was to weaponize it, and later on we found it could be used for energy. And this isn't something necessarily that was in the book but is a seed that I wanted to plant in this movie," Trevorrow explained. "What if this went open source? What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?"

The "Jurassic World" director's statements ignited speculations that the sequel for the film will showcase more laboratories experimenting on and breeding on more dinosaurs which could cause more mayhem if the tests go haywire. Perhaps, fans will see more genetically altered dinosaurs like the indominus rex.

Another plot includes a possible dinosaur army used by InGen as weapons. This speculation is based on what Vic Hoskins (Vincent D'Onofrio) said to Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) about InGen's plans of weaponizing the dinosaurs.

Meanwhile, Vine Report mentioned that Claire might just take the driver's seat in "Jurassic World 2" while Owen acts as a supporting character. If this happens, it could only mean that Claire would take control to counteract a possible explosive chaos that will put her company's technology in jeopardy.

Pratt and Howard have already confirmed their return for "Jurassic World 2" but other actors from the first film have not yet released any statements. The movie will not start filming until 2017 due to Pratt's busy schedule, but the movie is set to be released on June 22, 2018.
