Following the release of the second trailer of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," the film's costume designer just confirmed that The Flash will be making his appearance in the upcoming superhero film.
Michael Wilkinson, the costume designer of the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," recently attended the Comic Con in Brazil and mentioned that The Flash, along with other superheroes, will appear in the movie, Flickering Myth reported.
"I'm not really at the liberty to talk about The Flash right now, but it's something that you'll be seeing in the future in our films. You do get a glimpse of him, of course, in Batman v Superman," Wilkinson shared in an interview.
With the confirmation of Barry Allen's addition to the cast, many fans of the CW series "The Flash" were hoping the production would cast Grant Gustin as the speedster superhero. However, fans of both DC movies and TV series should know by now that Warner Brothers is not planning on tying up the films with the TV shows.
Ezra Miller, an actor-singer who appeared in "Perks of Being a Wallflower," is playing The Flash both in "Batman v Superman" and "Justice League" films. The movie outfit is also planning to produce a film focusing on the Central City superhero, said Cinema Blend.
Although the film centers on the feud between Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill), it is also about introducing as many DC superheroes in time for the "Justice League: Part One" film which is set for a 2017 release.
Other DC superheroes who will have a cameo in the highly anticipated DC film includes Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), who has already appeared in the new trailer; Aquaman (Jason Momoa), who is also set to have his stand-alone film which will be released in 2018; and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).
Watch "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in cinemas in March 2016.
