"Person of Interest" Season 5 is rumored to be the show's last, as the CBS sci-fi drama experienced a drop in its ratings last season. While the upcoming season was initially expected to be included in the network's spring lineup, many fans were left wondering when 'POI' was not listed on CBS' midseason schedule.

Io9 reported that the delay in the "Person of Interest" Season 5 premiere may be taken as a sign that the show is headed for the chopping block. The outlet noted on the possibility that the delay may be a tactic on the part of the network in an attempt to boost the show's ratings.

According to the outlet, 'POI' Season 5 may have been pushed to a later date, which may air in March or April, or CBS may include the show in its summer lineup because there is less competition for the series. The outlet also cited that CBS has cancelled two of its summer shows, "Under the Dome" and "Extant," which will give way for a timeslot for "Person of Interest."

As fans will have to do without "Person of Interest" for quite some time, Jim Caviezel became emotional when he was asked whether his character, Reese, will find love in Season 5. Caviezel revealed to EW that Reese does not have any time for love this season, especially because the show's usual 22 episodes have been reduced to 13, but this reminded him of the love and support he received from viewers.

"You are the ones who keep this show afloat... and I'm reminded from your question how much I love my castmates. This has been the greatest team, whatever we have left for this show," he said.
