'Days of Our Lives' Cast & Spoilers: Jen Lilley and Kassie DePaiva Reveal Donovan Sisters' Future, Eve to Have a Comeback Soon?

Jen Lilley and Kassie DePavia play the sassy Donovan sisters in "Days of Our Lives," who are undergoing major changes in their respective storylines. Lilley's Theresa is rekindling her romance with Brady (Eric Martsolf), while DePavia's Eve will be exiting the soap opera soon.

The two actresses recently sat down with Soap Central and DePavia admitted that getting the boot from "DOOL" still hurt.

"It stung, I'm not going to lie. And it only stung because I freaking wake up every day to fight for the cause, and that's to keep daytime on the air. And I love it, and I love doing soaps," the 54-year-old actress said.

Last September, "DOOL" announced that they were letting go of DePavia, who has only been on the show for a year. The actress expressed her sadness over the producers' decision on her website.

"It saddens me to have been let go from the show just as Eve was finally finding her footing," DePaiva wrote. "But that is the way the soap business goes. Characters come and go just as actors, writers and producers."

DePavia gave a superb performance when her character's daughter Paige tragically died, and fans as well as her co-actors were naturally shocked that she was getting laid off.

Lilley even tweeted a sweet message for her character's sister upon learning the news.

"She's going to win an Emmy. I'm calling it right now," Lilley spoke of DePavia. Lilley also hinted that DePavia might return to the soap in the future, and revealed that her character will not die.

"Spoiler alert: Eve doesn't die!" Lilley teased.

As for her role, the 31-year-old actress is excited about the Theresa-Brady team up.

"They belong together. They're Thrady -- hashtag Thrady!" she gushed. "It's so fun working with Eric Martsolf. He's easy to work with and easy on the eyes, too. It's a really tough job, but somebody's got to do it."

She added that her character will be turning a new leaf through this romance.

"She's finally going to be a good girlfriend. What's awesome is the transition with Theresa. She's a mom now, and she becomes that girl that you really, really root for, because she fiercely protects and is loyal to those whom she loves."

However, she jokingly said that Theresa's old ways are not entirely gone, so fans should be on their toes.

"But the other shoe could always drop. Give her some alcohol, and she might sleep with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn)!" the actress teased.

"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays, 1 p.m. on NBC.
