iKON’s Full Debut Album ‘Welcome Back’ Comes On Christmas Eve; Bobby & B.I Guest Star on 'Running Man'

Fans of iKON will have something big to look forward to this Christmas as the release date of the group's full debut album "Welcome Back" has been announced to come on Dec. 24.

The group, under YG Entertainment, debuted in February this year and the release of the album has been delayed many times already. But according to Koogle.tv, it looks like this time, the album is going to hit music stores for real, both online and offline. And as a bonus Christmas gift, iKON debut full album will also come with two music videos.

iKON is a new K-pop group formed just this year, with members B.I, Bobby, Kim Jinhwan, Koo Junhoe, Song Yunhyeong, Kim Donghyuk and Jung Chanwoo. The reason for the name iKON is because YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk wants them to be an icon for Korea.

iKON officially debuted in Korea last Oct. 1, 2015 with the digital release of their debut half album "Welcome Back." Their first debut broadcast followed on Oct. 4, 2015 on SBS's Inkigayo.

YG's newest group's popularity is rising every month and its budding successful career is marked with the Best New Artist award at the Melon Awards last November, and the recently concluded Mnet Asian Music Awards 2015. iKON is also nominated for the New Artist Award, Popularity Award and the Hallyu Special Award in Seoul Music Awards which will be held on Jan. 14, 2016. iKON also bids for the New Artist Award to be held on Jan. 20, 2016. Voting is currently ongoing.

Meanwhile, Bobby and B.I are going to guest star in an exciting episode of "Running Man," SBS has confirmed as per Soompi.com's report. The two iKON artists joined Seolhyun of AOA, Lee Jong Soo, Kim Ji Min, Kim Jung Nam, Lee Ji Hyun, Stephanie, and Shinhwa's Andy in filming at Mokdong, Seoul last week. The episode will be aired on Dec. 20, 4:50 p.m. KST.
