Kojima Productions teamed up with Sony to create a "console exclusive" game for PlayStaytion 4. It is later confirmed that the game will also be available to PC.
According to Escapist Magazine, a representative from Kojima Productionsmentioned in an interview that the first game that Kojima produces for Sony will only be exclusive to PS4 for a period of time, and will eventually make its way to the PC.
The representative declined to answer when asked how long the new game will be available to PS4, however, it was mentioned that Sony's role on the development of the game is just limited to being a publisher.
In regards to the title of the game, the representative said that it would be "completely new" and neither "Silent Hill" nor "Metal Gear" franchises have something to do with it.
In a report from Video Gamer, it is not confirmed who will own the copyright of the game and the representative just stated that they will announce further details when ready.
Meanwhile, in a question and answer posted by the PlayStation community manager Pad Poet, the Sony Computer Entertainment said:
"Kojima is an extremely creative and passionate game designer who has made countless contributions to PlayStation and the gaming industry. By having Kojima develop his first independent title to PS4, we believe that we can deliver completely new gaming experiences made possibly only by Kojima, to gaming fans worldwide. We are not disclosing further details on how this agreement was realized."
Kojima announced Kojima Production on Dec. 16, Wednesday, following his exit from Konami.
Kojima is the former vice president of Konami Digital Entertainment Co. who developed "Silent Hill" and "Metal Gear" series.
On the other hand, Sony adds that the Konami will remain as one of their most important publishers, thus their relationship with them will not change.
