It is perfectly understandable why fans of "Sherlock" have been dying to get fresh scoop of the highly acclaimed BBC series. The last season was already 2 years ago and since it has been confirmed that Sherlock is returning to the network for season 4, fans would not stop asking when it actually preimiers.
In a previous report, "Sherlock" is said to start filming for season four in early 2016. According to Den of Geek, Steven Moffat has told Collider during an interview "Mark (Gatiss) will be starting very soon, he may have started. I've got to finish my Doctor Who Christmas special, and then I'll be straight onto Sherlock after that."
The latest reports now suggest that script for episode 1 of season 4 has already been completed. According to Entertainment Tonight, "Sherlock" co-creator Mark Gatiss revealed, "I just finished [writing] episode 1,"
With respect to the plot of "Sherlock Season 4," according to IDigitalTimes, there will be answers to the questions about why and how Moriarity, played by Andrew Scott, came back for season 3 when he supposedly died in season 2. For this Gratiss said, "All I can say is, this is a major, life-changing series for the regulars." He added, "The repercussions of Moriarty's apparent return are far-reaching. It's very big stuff."
Previously it was reported that because of "Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch's very hectic schedule could spell the end of the series with Season 4 as the last. But fans might be relieved to know that according to an interview by EW, Sherlock might not end with Season 4. Steve Moffat said that season 4 might urge fans to feel "Desperate for season 5." Moffat said, "We're certainly going to put them through the mill. It's going to be more of an emotional upheaval. Hopefully enjoyable and fun, all the things Sherlock must always be. It will be tough at times. Maybe that's the word? A tougher series.
