'Mortal Kombat X' Getting Another Character; Kombat Pack 2 DLC May Be Tied With Upcoming Web Series

"Mortal Kombat X" is having another character besides those already revealed for Kombat Pack 2 Character DLC.

In a previous report, it was revealed that Leatherface from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," Xenomorph from "Alien," Bo Rai Cho from "Drunken Fist Master" and Tri-Borg are the four new characters that will be added to "Mortal Kombat X" via Kombat Pack 2 Character DLC.

But while fans are still outraged over the game developer's decision to include Leatherface, NetherRealm Studios community specialist Tyler Lansdown has made an announcement that another character is coming to the fighting game. Lansdown wrote on Twitter, "@ESLMortalKombat announced it tonight. There will be a Kombat Kast at the ESL finals Jan 24th. Showing off a KP 2 character. Can't wait!"

NeatherRealm has another gig for the Kombat Pack 2 Character DLC. According to Design and Trend, the upcoming DLC could tie into a "Mortal Kombat" web series that is coming out this 2016. Hopefully, the web series could provide an insightful explanation to the controversial choices for the Kombat Pack 2 DLC. The currently filming "Mortal Kombat" web series is presumed to be a sequel to "Mortal Kombat: Legacy," which ran for two seasons.

As Director, martial artist and stunt coordinator Garret Warren has confirmed via Twitter, "Mortal Kombat: Generations" will be released next year. According to Cosmic Book News, it is currently in development and is said to feature Casper Van Dien as Johnny Cage, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Shang Tsung Cage, Jade Quon/Jamal Duff as Ferra/Torr, Haley Lu Richardson as Cassie Cage, Ray Park as Erron Black, Booboo Stewart as Takeda, Lewis Tan as Kung Jin and Ron Yuan as Hanzo Hasashi.

While there are no information on the plot for "Mortal Kombat: Generations," Mortal Kombat X is currently available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
