There is a new badass vampire in Mystic Falls in "Vampire Diaries" Season 7, and she looks a lot like Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev).
Leslie-Anne Huff is set to appear in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7. After the casting, some reportedly told the newcomer how she looked like someone they knew. Some claimed her to be a doppelganger of a former cast member, Nina Dobrev who was once the main character in the series.
TV Line had an interview with executive producer Caroline Dries. Asked about the striking similarities of the two actresses, she said, "That's definitely just a coincidence."
"We looked at a lot of actors, and I was like, 'I think she looks exactly like Nina.' I was convinced otherwise. I actually haven't met her yet person, though, and everyone says she doesn't look like her in person. She's a great actress, and she's perfect for the role. We'll get to see her present-day story and then everything will click when you see her in the future," Dries explained.
In addition to the interview, Dries also stated that when the show resumes on Jan. 29, it will have a really cool concept episode. "You might be asking, 'What show am I watching?' when you turn on the TV. We'll be dealing with the fallout from the winter finale for a while, both emotionally and plot-wise."
"The babies inside Caroline will have to come out sooner or later," she added, noting that the babies will still have the standard three trimesters to develop despite their magical nature.
Meanwhile, Yibada reported that actor Ian Somerhalder has been distancing himself from fellow actors on "The Vampire Diaries" set after speculations spread that actors Kat Graham, Paul Wesley, and Candice Accola preferred working with Dobrev over him.
Dobrev's leaving because of Somerhalder's wife Nikki Reed was said to be not true. Reports say Reed even tried to convince Dobrev to stay and still be part of the show. Now, it seems that Reed will be doing the same with her husband. The source also said that Reed wanted the actor to try new projects in case "The Vampire Diaries" won't have a season 8.
