Bethesda's Approach to Releasing Game Titles and Why "Elder Scrolls 6" Could Take A While Before Releasing

As previously reported, fans will have to wait a little longer for the next "Elder Scrolls" installment as Bethesda has just recently mentioned that they are at the moment 100 per cent focused on newly released title, "Fallout 4." According to Dual Shockers, Bethesda is knows to deal with one game at a time and at the moment, the company devoted completely to aftersales and mod support, game improvement and some downloadable content (DLCs) to name a few. Knowing that "Fallout 4" just came out, it could take a while before Bethesda Game Studios moves on developing "Elder Scrolls 6" or "Skyrim 2."

A recent report by IGN, Bethesda has admitted that the employees at Elder Scrolls Online developer, Zenimax Online Studios has been downsized from 300 to 50. A report from Connacht Tribune has raised concerns after saying that ZeniMax Online Studios has shut down base in Galway. All though "Elder Scrolls" is different from "Skyrim" there are fans become concerned about the future of "Elder Scrolls 6." But Bethesda has clarified that the move was "normal practice" and said the PC Online community was thriving.

And while Bethesda focuses on "Fallout 4," it is mostly likely the reason why the release of "Elder Scrolls Legends" is being pushed back to 2016. This has yet to be verified but Bethesda VP of PR and marketing Pete Hines has confirmed by a Twitter response that the online collectible card game for iPad and PC is not releasing in 2015.

Therefore when it comes to releasing games, fans would just have to trust that the focus is quality not quantity. As what Hines has said in an interview with Telegraph, "We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015."

He continued, "We do smaller stuff, we don't publish to scale, we try to publish to quality. Make sure everything we do is noteworthy. Our approach to that hasn't differed. Here and there we might change our approach to how it's presented but we've still stuck to who we are."
