"Winds of Winter" is the key to Jon Snow's whereabouts. Many fans are very eager to get their hands on the sixth book of the series so they could have some piece of mind with regards to the illegitimate son of Ned Stark. Jon Snow was seen dying on season five's last episode of the TV adaptation of the book "Game of Thrones."
"Winds of Winter" still have an unknown release date, but speculation circling around the community put it right behind "Game of Thrones" season 6, which will start on April 2016. It was posted on Twitter and was also announced by HBO themselves.
"Winds of Winter" author, George R.R. Martin already said that the book is not yet finished. However, many fans are wondering how could a television series, that is based on a novel, be ahead than the novel itself, The Bit Bag reported.
Martin earlier said in a previous interview that he would prefer the "Winds of Winter" to be released ahead of season 6 of the hit TV series, but this failed to materialize.
"Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish. But I canceled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interview-anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done," IGN reported.
"Winds of Winter" author did cancelled media appearances. He was present in the previous San Diego Comic-Con and was even included on the "Game of Thrones" panel.
In other news, since Jon Snow is an illegitimate son, several "Game of Thrones" theorist have come up with some possible lineage for Snow. It has been highly regarded that Snow is the son of Ned's sister, Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.
"Winds of Winter" book is speculated to be released in the last quarter of 2016 or first quarter of 2017.
