'The Legend of Zelda' To Be Released In 2016, Possibly Along With Nintendo NX

"The Legend of Zelda" is one of the game titles that is considered a staple for Nintendo consoles, keeping Nintendo afloat since sales dwindled at the launch of the Wii U. To date, fans are still waiting for "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U and to the disappointment of many, it has shifted from a 2015 release to a TBD status and then a 2016 release. There are even rumors suggesting that it is being remastered for the upcoming Nintendo NX console.

To date, there are still conflicting reports about the release date for "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U. According to IGN, the specific release date in 2016 still remains unknown. On the other hand, iSchool Guide has reported that the highly anticipated Nintendo title will be released in Q1 of 2016.

Therefore fans are still being left in the dark with respect to seeing Wii U version for "The Legend of Zelda." Earlier a YouTube video has discussed the title's absence at 2015 E3 and the disappointing fact that after a long time, "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U, still has an indefinite release date. The video uploader quoted Game Designer Shigeru Miyamoto's statement, "A delayed game is eventually good but a rushed game is forever bad."

As discussed in the same video as well as other sources, there have been rumors that Nintendo has withheld the title from being released because the company is reengineering the game's graphics. This rumor can be connected to the coming of the alleged Nintendo NX, which is also expected to arrive sometime in 2016.

If the rumors are true, it totally makes sense not to release a Wii U version of "The Legend of Zelda" when the said console is already at the end of its life cycle. The next tech exhibit would be at CES 2016 this January, where Nintendo is rumored to unveil the Nintendo NX, fans can at the moment hope that the rumors are true and hopefully by then new details about "The Legend of Zelda" would be shared.
