Rumors have inevitably sparked regarding a betterlooking model to the hit Samsung Gear S2 which was released last September. The news grew rampant despite the lack of reliable evidence supporting these rumors.
The Samsung Gear S2 is reportedly getting new variants. As 9to5Google reported, the rumor was first spotted on a user's Twitter account. Roland Quandt specifically pointed out that the two other variants of Gear S2 will come in two colors, the platinum and rose gold. Unfortunately, the post did not indicate any information on the release date for these variants.
The Samsung Gear S2 is boxed with an athletic watch case. Gear S2 Classic, however, is said to come with a traditional appearance and feel to it. The Samsung Gear S2 only comes in two variations: silver and gray, while the Classic model only gets black. Rumors suggest that the Classic version will come with two different-colored cases to choose from: platinum and rose gold. Meanwhile, the straps can be paired with the said cases. Furthermore, it is presumed that Samsung might work with other manufacturers in creating several customized models, the same way they did with the Gear S2 version.
In addition, Samsung will reportedly add to the color selection for the Classic version of Gear S2, just as the Huawei Watch and the Moto 360 2 have rose gold variations. The color rose gold has recently been made favorite by both smartwatch and smartphone users and Samsung is seemingly following this trend as they make decisions for the upcoming new variants of Gear S2. Aside from Samsung, Apple also released a rose gold model of iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s.
As of the moment, these rumors remain unconfirmed as there has been no release date officially announced by Samsung for the upcoming models of the Gear S2. Fans are advised to stay tuned for more details.
