Fans would be delighted to know of the chance to see their "Reply 1988" favorites in a concert. An insider has reportedly revealed that a "Reply 1988" concert is currently in the works and it will be held on March 5.
According to Soompi.com, the concert is going to feature the main casts of the drama "Reply 1988" including Hyeri, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Park Bo Gum. There is also a big possibility that the artists behind the songs used in the drama will make an appearance such as Lee Jeok, Lee Moon Se, and Kim Chang Wan.
The concert will feature songs that made it to the top charts and will take place at Kyunghee University's Peace.
Meanwhile, Allkpop.com has reported that a rep from tvN said, "We are in the midst of planning a 'Reply 1988' concert, but nothing is confirmed as of yet."
"Reply 1988" has received consistently good ratings and as an award to their hard work, the producers dished that the cast and crew will be "leaving to Phuket for a vacation on January 19 and returning on the 22nd. The actors and producers are doing their best to schedule. It looks like the majority will go."
The hit series, set in the year 1988, follows that story of five families living in the same neighborhood. The families have been close to each other and their children have been best friends since childhood.
The heartwarming drama is reportedly in the latter half of filming and so this vacation is a much-deserved one. Fans could only hope though that the concert is going to materialize come March 2016.
Written by Lee Woo Jung and directed by Shin Won Ho, "Reply 1988" airs every Friday and Saturday on tvN at 7:50 p.m. KST. It premiered on Nov. 6, 2015.
