Tension has erupted between two fandoms when EXO-L allegedly photoshopped BTS' Jungkook's image on a funeral photo for using a term popularly associated with EXO. It turned out that a fellow Army actually did the photo so that EXO-L will be the one to be blamed.
According to Koreaboo, Jungkook of Big Hit Entertainment boy group, has been an item of backlash among the known hardcore fans of another popular Korean band EXO after he used the term "saranghaja" or "Let's love." It is a term that has been strongly associated with EXO and so EXO-L were reportedly furious of "thievery" and "disrespect" to their idols.
To fire back, a funeral photo with Jungkook's face started spreading online, which of course, many thought to come from a SM Entertainment's EXO fan. It was posted on Twitter and even tagged Jungkook's account.
BTS fans called Army reacted and asked EXO-L to calm down. One fan wrote, "I realize how important and meaningful the phrase "Let's Love" is for you guys but your babies aren't the only important people are they? How could you photoshop his face into a funeral picture and tweet it to him."
Some were right to suspect that it wasn't a work of an EXO-L fan. A post on Twitter revealed a message from the original creator of the malicious photo. "I felt a little bit sorry for our Kookie but I hate EXO fans so fucking much," it says. "I want to see them suffer."
"Oh and I should delete this post now before someone see this," the fan added.
On a positive note, Soompi reported that BTS group has managed to stay in the top 10 of Billboard's World Album Chart for four consecutive weeks now, securing the sixth place as of today. It is the only K-pop act in the list for this week.
