The publication noted that Mansi's departure seemed to be from her own will and it was not imposed by the writers or producers of the show. Mansi's departure, however, has got a lot of DOOL fans and viewers worried about the show's future; specifically that of Chad and Abigail's relationship.
As "Days" spoilers from She Knows Soaps reveal, Chad will snap out of his brainwashed state after holding Thomas in his arms. Several DOOL rumors have been hinting that Chad will soon propose to Abigail, which definitely made a lot of Chabby fans excited for their future.
However, with this recent casting news surrounding Mansi's departure from the show, the aforementioned publication noted on the possibility that Mansi's character may be recast, Abigail may be placed in a mental health facility or her character may die.
Most DOOL fans are not in favor of the notion that Abigail may die, as many viewers are already crying out from seeing one character die after another. It may be a wise choice if the NBC soap opts to just recast the role and give Chad and Abigail a happy future together.
