Nicole Richie And Joel Madden’s Marriage Crisis: Is The Couple Headed For Divorce?

Looks like Nicole Richie and Joel Madden may be headed for a divorce this 2016. The two were reported to have recently sold their family estate and have been spotted without their wedding rings last week, an article from Radar Online said.

The online entertainment site has learned that Nicole has told her friends that the "romance between the two of them is dead!"

Joel Madden was also spotted at Barney's New York doing some last-minute Christmas shopping minus his wedding ring. The Good Charlotte rocker was also photographed days before Christmas together with Nicole and their kids: daughter Harlow, 7, and son Sparrow, 6. This seemed to be a happy family outing but a closer look will reveal that the two were worlds apart.

The Candidly Nicole star was also seen without her wedding ring as she went out with her friends to lunch a week before the mentioned family outing. Nicole was previously reported to be gaining weight in hopes of getting pregnant once more.  She may have thought that after all that they have been through, a baby would help repair their relationship in the end.

An insider who was close to Joel and Nicole said that the two are basically living as co-parents to their kids.

"They had a super rough year and right now they are really trying everything imaginable to salvage what is left of their marriage." The source added, "Neither Nicole nor Joel seems to know what to do to make their marriage work."

The couple's Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles home was sold for $2.67 million in November and the two have purchased a new home. However, details about their new property have not been confirmed.

But just to clear things up, the two would like to announce that they are not splitting yet. On December 28, Richie took to Instagram some memories of their double date with Joel's brother Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz at LACMA. She posted a picture of her wearing a sweatshirt with a print that said "Mrs. Madden."
