"The Flash" season 2 will bring another "Arrow" crossover as Diggle visits Central City to help The Flash in taking down King Shark.
David Ramsey, who plays Diggle in the "Arrow" series, posted a picture of him on Instagram with the caption, "Made a visit to #theflash writers room.. Can only mean one thing.. #arrow&theflash." This sparked rumors from fans that there will be another crossover between the two CW series.
Avid viewers believed it could not just be a random trip to the "The Flash" writers' room so it could mean that Diggle will make a visit to S.T.A.R. Labs. According to Comic Book, there is already a confirmation that Ramsey and his on-screen "Arrow" wife, Audrey Marie Anderson of "The Walking Dead," will be appearing in Central City.
The report said the couple will be starring in "The Flash" season 2, episode 15. The series creator, Andrew Kreisberg, explained what the Diggles will be doing in the city of The Flash (Grant Gustin).
"The Diggles arrive in Central City to help Barry take on King Shark who has escaped from ARGUS and is hellbent on completing his mission of destroying The Flash," Kreisberg shared. No other details were released by the production, so fans can only guess until the official synopsis for the episode is released.
King Shark first appeared in "The Flash" season 2 when he made a cameo but was defeated by Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). For viewers, it is very possible that Diggle will be chasing down the villain, who is headed for Central City, that is why the "Arrow" character ends up teaming with The Flash to defeat him.
Also, earlier in the season, "The Flash" and "Arrow" had already done a double crossover as a part of the two shows' introduction to a new superhero spin-off series, "Legends of Tomorrow."
"The Flash" season 2 will be back on The CW on Jan. 19 while "Arrow" season 4B will premiere on Jan. 20.
