‘The Flash’ Season 2 Spoilers: Eobard Thawne Returns as a Familiar Flash Villain; Speedsters Crowd Star City

"The Flash" season 2 will see another character coming back. This time it is not a superhero but Flash's first archenemy, Eobard Thawne.

It seems that creators of the CW DC superhero series are packing "The Flash" season 2 with many speedsters. Matt Letscher, as Eobard Thawne, will be renewing the role of Reverse-Flash instead of actor Tom Cavanagh, said Comic Book Resources.

Viewers should not be confused with this new twist. Although Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) is originally the Reverse-Flash, Eobard inhabited his body and is now therefore the new villain speedster. Eobard will appear in "The Flash" season 2, episode 11 titled "The Reverse-Flash Returns."

Todd Helbing, the executive producer of the show, said, "His impossible return to Central City puts a member of the S.T.A.R. Labs team in unexpected danger, forcing Barry to make a life-changing decision."

It is such an intrigue how Eobard will return since in "The Flash" season 1 finale, Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) sacrificed himself to ensure his ancestors will have no way of appearing in the present. So how will Eobard be able to come back?

The parallel earth comes into play to explain why it is possible for Eobard to arrive in Star City. It will be most likely that he will come from Earth Two via the wormhole.

Meanwhile, Star City may have not seen enough of speedsters just yet. With Flash (Grant Gustin) battling against Zoom (Tony Todd) and Reverse-Flash coming back. Another character as fast as lightning will also make an appearance in "The Flash" season 2B.

A recent report revealed that Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) will be donning his Flash suit once more to battle a new threat, who could be Geomancer, the villain with geokinetic powers. Although Jay promised he will no longer use the serum which makes him move in lightning speed, the promise will be broken.

"The Flash" season 2 will return on Jan. 19, 2016 on The CW.
