Apartment rents do increase in a year. This year, let's check what you could rent with $1,650 a month if you are planning to live in Los Angeles, California.
According to US News, Los Angeles is the second biggest city in the list of Major Cities in the United States. People would obviously expect that housing rental in this part of the US is really expensive.
Report reveals that the "One-bedroom apartments in Los Angeles are the third most pricey, behind New York and Boston, with an average rate of $2,756." This means that per sq foot of the property costs the home seeker $3.53.
It is also reported that people in LA are willing to pay more for "apartments equipped with pools, patios, gyms and parking." It should be surprising because that's part of being in LA. Call it classic.
A $1,650 rent is somehow the average cost for housing rental. LA Curbed reports what you could rent with the said amount.
One property mentioned is a property "near the very eastern-most edge of Echo Park." The place is rented out for $1,650, and the property is a one-bedroom unit in "completely restored and renovated" building. It has "walk-in shower, wood floors, and new appliances and counters (quartz) in the kitchen." The list mentions that it will soon have its own laundry room and has air conditioning installation in progress.
For $1,550, you can also rent a "one-bedroom apartment" which features real hardwood floors, a retro tile job in the bathroom, and recessed lighting." It has a smallish kitchen furnished with all the appliances. It also has on-site laundry.
Your $1,650 will not only give you a one-bedroom housing rental. Surprisingly, if the house seeker is patient in searching high and low, the person could find a "two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom unit" somewhere in East Hollywood area. The listing says that the "unit's been recently remodeled, but it appears that it is currently being remodeled because there is still blue painter's tape up" in the photos attached in the ad. As seen in pictures, the property has "laminate floors, granite counters, a fridge, and one glorious parking space are included in the rent."
