Microsoft billionaire Paul Allen has a jaw-dropping real estate portfolio. There has been no doubt about that since he is one of those who love to collect nice houses. But his taste in real estate properties would truly wow everyone who knows the list.
Paul Allen's real estate portfolio has recently been brought out in the public eye because of his recent acquisition. Realtor reports that Allen has recently bought another house on Washington's Mercer Island. Based on report, the property is a bit expensive but then the Microsoft billionaire really loves the location.
Report states that the house on Washington's Mercer Island is sold for $5.4 million. The property is "a 1948 bungalow, which measures 3,320 square feet. It has four bedrooms and four bathrooms." Based on records, this "latest acquisition brings the number of residences he owns on Mercer Island to 11."
Speaking of his number of residences, The Real Deal has revealed the 10 other real estate properties owned by Microsoft billionaire Paul Allen. His properties are not only limited in the US but also in some other parts of the globe. "From a hilltop mansion on the French Riviera to an entire island off the coast of Washington, Allen has made his fair share of blockbuster purchases over the years."
Report says that his primary residence is still in Mercer Island with "a 10,000-square-foot waterfront home." Another property that he bought is the Allan Island, off the coast of Washington, in 1992, however sold the property in 2013.
He also has a property in Tetonia, Idaho. It is a former sheep ranch, which he later converted into a "five-suite luxury mountain lodge." But then the business was closed in 2009.
In Beverly Hills, California, he bought two real estate properties. One is the 12,952-square-foot Mediterranean-style home. This property of Paul Allen was bought in 1997 and is noted for its ridiculous amenities. It has "a funicular that shuttles guests from the pool deck to a tennis court located on a lower part of the property."
In the same year, he bought the "The Enchanted Hill" for $20 million, which he demolished in 2000. As reported, many were upset with him for tearing down this historic property. To date, there has no building that erected in "The Enchanted Hill"
Other properties that Paul Allen owned are Malibu's Carbon Beach, a 22,000-square-foot home in Atherton, "Thurston Estate" in Kailua-Kona Hawaii, an apartment building on Manhattan's Upper East Side, a hilltop mansion in the Côte d'Azur town of St. Jean Cap-Ferrat, a house in London's Holland Park neighborhood, and of course his favorite Seattle movie theater.
Those are just the real estate properties that Paul Allen collected. But his other hobbies are also buying fancy yachts and planes.
