‘Empire’ Star Taraji P. Henson Sells Her Moorish Hollywood Mansion for $3.25M

Taraji P. Henson, who just recently won a Golden Globe for her character in "Empire," has listed her mansion on the market with a price of $3.25m.

The 4,202-square-foot mansion in the Hollywood Hills is being sold by the actress a few months after she moved in, Today reported. The home was first listed by the actress in December 2015 but has not yet been sold since.

According to Harper's Bazaar, the three-storey home has a total of four bedrooms, with a walk-in closet and a bathroom for each. One of the rooms was converted by the "Empire" star into a dressing room fit for a true superstar. The converted dressing room includes a salon chair and customized cabinetry. It also has a private bathroom with a shampoo bowl.

The home's kitchen is spacious with a rectangular-shaped island, ideal for food preparations, and a custom-made wooden cabinetry. The timelessness of the wood blends perfectly with stainless steel appliances.

The high ceiling and choice of furniture add up to the North-African feel of the entire home. Other features of the Moorish mansion include three fireplaces, a mini theater, a media room and a private gym. Apart from these, the house offers another relaxation pursuit with its hot tub situated in an area overlooking the Los Angeles cityscape.

Henson's home includes another plus for would-be buyers with the addition of a wine cellar that can store up to 600 bottles of wine.

Aside from this Hollywood Hills property, Henson also owns another home in Glendale which she has leased at $3400 a month. Unlike the mansion, this Spanish-inspired home is more modest with two bedrooms and two baths. The award-winning actress originally bought the place in 2002 at around $431,000.

Henson vacated the Glendale home in the second-half of 2015 to move into the mansion in the Hollywood Hills.
