Sarah Jessica Parker used to have a townhouse in West 10th Street. But in less than 12 months, she is now back to buy not just one but two village homes on West 11th Street, between Bleecker and West 4th Streets.
The Real Deal reports that Sarah Jessica Parker is in the process of negotiating to buy 2 pads from the United Methodist Women (UMW), a nonprofit faith-based organization. According to the source, Parker "is in contract to buy two properties, at 273-275 West 11th Street," which the organization has owned since the 1920s. The properties are being used as a guesthouse and conference center.
Report says that UMW has listed the real estate "properties on the market with Eastern Consolidated last September." It is noted it is sold for $44 million.
The real estate online magazine tried to confirm or request for comment this information with Parker's publicist and broker Douglas Elliman, but both were unavailable as of press time. "A spokesperson for Eastern confirmed that the properties are in contract to sell but declined to comment on the identity of the buyer."
These two real estate properties have a collective lot area of 13,900 square feet. The brick houses also have a 2,100-square-foot private garden. If the two properties will be combined, it is noted that it can be build a large single-family mansion.
According to Commercial Observer, the property is a 5-story townhouses. It is known as Alma Mathews house in the neighborhood. It is named after the immigrants' rights pioneer, who was known for working with people who arrived in New York from 1888 to 1926.
Based on the report, "the Eastern Consolidated brokers are labeling the properties as a residential conversion project." The appreciation value of the building is "at $3,200 per square foot based on the sale of a similar property nearby last year, 27 Christopher Street."
