Media mogul Oprah Winfrey bought a new property which is the Seafair Farm in California town near her near uberluxe neo-Georgian mansion in Santa Barbara.
Recently, the Weight Watchers partial-owner bought a lavish hi-tech Telluride ski resort for $14 million that features a huge wine cellar with mining tunnel, but it appears that Winfrey has another addition to her real estate portfolio.
The Seafair Farm is a 23-acre equestrian estate in Montecito which is one of the largest and most coveted properties in the town. The property had been owned by a wealthy family for around thirty years before it went to the market.
The auction's timeline revealed that Winfrey won the bid of $28.85 million on the property last November and it closed in December of last year. The equestrian farm is just located adjacent to her existing property and it is abutted by a 44-acre dedicated preserve on side, Pop Sugar reported. It appears that the star might be planning to expand her mansion in Montecito into said area.
The ranch has a lovely 4,750 square-foot house that features four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. There are also paddocks, barns, and pens in the area. It also has two private wells, two Montecito water meters as well as equestrian facilities where you can find the fruit orchard and the flat usable land area.
According to the Sage Auctions, where the estate was listed, the property is a blend of privacy and convenience since its location is tucked away but it is also near parks, shopping, Montecito Union School, dining, and the beach in Montecito.
"The rich legacy and personality of Seamair Farm allows the new owner an open canvas upon which to create and live their dreams," Sage Auctions wrote.
The 62-years-old “Greenleaf” executive producer and “The Oprah Winfrey Show” host has a net worth of $3.2 billion. Apart from this newly acquired estate, she also has other real estate properties in Hawaii, Chicago, Tennessee, and her other mansion in Montecito, California.
