"No Man's Sky" is an upcoming adventure-survival indie video game that is currently being developed by Hello Games. It is not an open-world, but an open-universe. There are 18 quintillion stars to explore, and creating them takes time. The game is expected to be released next year on the PlayStation 4.

"No Man's Sky" does not have an exact release date yet, but there are sure signs that it is going to be soon. Also, since the year is about to end, it can then be concluded that it will be next year. Some sources said that it might hit the shelves by June 2016. It was also reported that the game would also be made available for the Xbox One and PC, a year after it releases.

Also, most indie games that have been released in the past do not go above the $60 mark that major publishers offer, but not "No Man's Sky." A posting was recently spotted at Amazon UK and the pre-order price for the game is £49.99, which equates to US$ 74.37.  However, many believe that the high price for the game will not affect its sales.  It has been greatly anticipated since its announcement back in E3 2014.

"No Man's Sky" will also be available in the upcoming Morpheus VR headsets, also from Sony.  Sean Murray, Hello Games co-founder, did not answer directly when asked about the games compatibility with VR gears, Game Radar reported. He said, "I don't know what I'm allowed to say, it's something we're thinking about. Morpheus, Oculus... There's nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe."

Murray also said in another interview that players could explore a lot in this game.

"No Man's Sky" is not just about the planets.  There are also stars, different types of them that offer different opportunities.
