"Castle" Season 8 will see the return of our beloved couple Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic). While Casket fans have been speculating several theories on what will happen next to Castle and Beckett in the upcoming season, including a rumored love triangle with a new character named Hayley, Stana Katic recently revealed several interesting details on what they can expect when "Castle" returns in September.

"There are a lot of shifts," Katic told Deadline in an interview. "An event that shift the entire season into a higher velocity... is part of what will set everything up for the next 20 episodes."

While Katic did not divulge too much details about this event that will shift the entire storyline for the rest of the season, the "Sister Cities" actress admitted that she started looking forward to the upcoming season after hearing about new showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter's plans for the ABC series.

"It delves into the mythology of Rick's disappearance and memory loss as well as into what inspired Beckett to become a cop in the first place," she added.

Meanwhile, Hawley recently shared a snapshot of Katic and Fillion back on set via Twitter, Carter Matt reported. The "Castle" showrunner captioned: "Together again #CastleSeason8."
