"Castle" Season 8 will see the return of Nathan Fillion as Rick Castle and Stana Katic as Detective Kate Beckett. While fans and viewers of the ABC crime drama are still down to at least two months before the series returns on TV, spoilers for the two-part premiere hint on the return of Beckett's enemy - Senator Bracken.
Jack Coleman, who plays the role of William Bracken in "Castle," will be returning for the show's two-part premiere episode titled, "XY," TV Line reported. Fans and viewers may be wondering why Bracken is returning to the series, especially because Beckett has already put Bracken behind bars in Season 6's penultimate episode titled, "Veritas."
While details about Coleman's return in the ABC series are still unknown, showrunner Terence Paul Winter teased that Bracken will "be back in a surprising way."
Meanwhile, Carter Matt reported that Molly Quinn's character in "Castle" will also be going through some major changes when the series returns in September. Quinn, who stars in the show as Alexis Castle, will be going through a major makeover in order for her character to grow into a more adult version.
The outlet noted that Quinn previously posted a photo of herself with a shorter hairdo on Twitter, which seemingly hints on one of the few changes that new showrunners Alexis Hawley and Terence Paul Winter have in store for the series and its characters.
"Castle" Season 8 two-part premiere airs on Sept. 21 on ABC.
