Lenovo's latest budget smartphones, dubbed as the Vibe P1m and the Vibe P1 --where P stands for power, comes with a hefty 5000 mAh battery. Lenovo's latest addition to its smartphone line up was revealed during the ongoing IFA 2015 in Berlin.
Lenovo Vibe P1m and Vibe P1 are set to be in a direct competition with the same battery capacity of the Asus ZenFone Max. The Vibe P1 comes in an aluminum body, a 1080x1920 pixels resolution on a 5.5-inch display, and with a density of 401 pixels per inch. It is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor powers the P1, and integrated in the home key is a fingerprint sensor. The main camera is pegged at 13MP while the front contains a 5MP camera. The device is tagged at $280, GSMArena reported.
Lenovo Vibe P1m is cheaper, set to be carrying a $160 price tag. The device will come with a polycarbonate body, and a 5-inch display with a screen density of 294 ppi and a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The smaller brother will be carrying a Mediatek MT6735P version clocked at 1.0GHz quad core CPU, while the battery is rated at 4,000 mAh.
The Lenovo models will be having a 2GB RAM. Unfortunately, the new Lenovo units will not be available in North America, since their phone units are not sold in this region, NDTV reported.
Lenovo Vibe P1m and Vibe P1 models will be dual SIM and LTE capable. One slot can be used to add an additional 32GB MicroSD for the Vibe P1m, and a max of 128GB for the P1.
Lenovo Vibe P1 will also come with a 24W Rocket charger that can give its users a 3-hour talk time for a 5-minute charging time. Overall, the massive battery has the potential to last 81 hours or 30 days of battery life, with 44-45 hours of talk time.
Lenovo Vibe P1m, on the other hand, will have a quick charger, 20 days of standby time, and 16 hours worth of talk time.
