Apple's day presented a lot of products during the launching event, and one notable product is the fourth generation Apple TV. Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, said that nothing has really been changed with the TV experience for a very long time, and they have finally done something about it.
Apple has decided that viewers need to experience a change in the way they use their television set and Cook said that they should, with their apps. The ever present Siri will be there to assist users to decide what a viewer want to watch as well as to control the Apple TV device, Wired reported.
Apple TV box is more powerful than its predecessor and will include a new remote control. More buttons means more control to its user plus it will have a touch sensitive surface. Apple TV user can simply slide their finger to see the title of what is available and simple select what program they want to watch. Now, if you want Siri to be there, a dedicated button will pull her up and a voice activated operation can start up.
Apple TV OS tvOS, the new operating system of the Apple TV, is based on iOS but designed to be more inclined to the entertainment aspect. Games and other applications will incorporate with the TV box by Apple.
Apple TV comes equipped with their A8 processor, plus a battery that can last up to three months. It is a Bluetooth version 4 capable plus other sensors. The said TV box will be launched in October and will have two variants, a 32 GB and a 64 GB version. The two models are priced $149 and $199 respectively, QZ reported.
Apple TV remote can also be used with games. Beat Sports, a game included on the new Apple TV, is similar to the Wii U Sports but with music.
