iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be released on Sept. 25, Friday.
iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus pre-ordering will not be available anymore as the Apple online store has already ran out of stock for both iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in the U.S. and in 11 other countries wherein the new iPhone will be launched by the end of the week, according to 9to5Mac.
iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus demands have increased with users getting excited for the 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus which sold out immediately. The 4.7-inch iPhone 6s, on the otherhand, sold out just last Monday, days before its official release. Due to the huge demands, customers will be able to get their iPhones four weeks later than the expected date.
iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus customers who are still hoping to get their hands on the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus should line up at any Apple retail store and wish that there will still be available units by the time one gets to the counter. Though not all physical locations will sell the phones to walk-in customers, stores in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and the tax-free U.S. states require reservations to get the phone.
Apple's unit shortage has been going on for years for its products. According to Tech Times, it is still unclear as to whether the shortages happen due to extremely high demands or whether there are supply constraints, as predicted by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of the KGI Securities. There is also the possibility of both.
Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that they were aiming at breaking last year's selling record of 10 million iPhones. Which, could have been larger if not on its shorter pre-ordering period, compared to this year's pre-ordering period.
iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus will not happen in China, yet. Last year, Apple's China launch alone was a complete success as it had reached 20 million units sold during the first weekend, wherein the earlier Apple launch in the U.S. had sold 10 million units, as it has been reported.
