Xbox One Elite Update: Xbox One Users should not Buy the $499 Device, Just Go with External SSD

Xbox boss Phil Spencer is responsible for selling the Xbox One SKU Microsoft to gamers, although it seems otherwise when the topic revolves on the Xbox One Elite.

Xbox One Elite will have a 1TB Solid State Hybrid hard drive and a new Elite Controller worth $150. With the given details, the whole package will be sold at the reasonable price of $499.99.

Xbox One Elite drive installed in the unit will give gamers a boost in booting the unit from standby mode, twenty percent faster than the normal speed which already sound really impressive to any gamer set around the world.

Though having a faster boot up doesn't seem more impressive than the new 1TB SSHD drive, it will help the unit be able to load and install games rapidly, as well as speed up the overall Xbox One operating system.

In a statement by Phil Spencer to IGN, he gave a point wherein it became clearer why he reacts as such towards the Xbox One Elite system which made people think twice about getting the gaming console. He stated that: "If you're really happy [with your Xbox One console] you should go try [Xbox Elite], but it really wasn't meant to try and flip you from the setup you have now. It will be faster, but I don't know if it would be fast enough to say that you'd want to go off and spend hundreds of dollars to do that."

Xbox One Elite is not aiming for present users of the console, but those who are planning on getting the Xbox One, GameSpot reported. It is also being marketed to people who wants the best features the Xbox as to offer, which the Elite will have.

Xbox One owners should just invest in an external SSD and have it plugged in the console's USB port. If you are in need of the new Elite Controller, wait for a while for the price to drop from the whopping $150 present selling price.
