The iPhone 6S in rose gold is the most loved of all variants.
The iPhone 6S release had the fans expecting that the Cupertino tech giant will be able to sell 12 to 13 million units. Well, 30 to 40 percent of those sold units were recorded to be in the color of Rose Gold.
According to the information supplied by KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo, the Rose Gold iPhone 6S is the most popular color. The pre-orders alone have taken up 30 to 40 percent of that particular color, wrote Kuo to its investors. Kuo also estimated that the weekend figure would stay below the 12 million mark for units sold through the opening weekend, as reported by BGR.
iPhone 6S analysts believe that the estimated figure relies on the idea that the supply chain will not be able to handle the high demand. Kuo also believes that the features of the iPhone, which are the new Taptic engine, backlight module, and the Rose Gold color, are the key factors that will drive the demand upwards.
Foxcomm Precision will definitely be working on the double with this increase in demand. Currently, the company is the only capable supplier for the casing of the new iPhone 6S.
The iPhone 6 sold around 10 million units in the previous year. China contributed a lot to these sales figures, even if the release there was delayed. Now, Apple has made it a point that the release in China will no longer have any issues. Now, even if Kuo is right with its estimate, it will still be breaking the 10 million mark created previously.
iPhone 6S reviews have previously stated that the Rose Gold color option, and the new hardware features such as the 3D Touch display, will not be enough to drive iPhone 6 users to ditch their old one for the new one. The weekend has ended and Apple will be making a report for its first weekend of sales anytime soon.
