Microsoft has been putting much attention on cloud-based solutions and integration of cross-platform software. But with the recent release of Exchange Server, this Redmond-based tech company has shown its market in the on-premise e-mail server.
Microsoft Exchange Team, the ones controlling the development of Exchange Server, launched Exchange Server 2016 on Oct. 1, Thursday. The enhanced edition will be after the organizations, businesses and institutions that choose to internally control data by operating their own data center, Information Week reported.
Microsoft Exchange Team blog post announced that the company acknowledges e-mail as the framework of the business communication and an important tool to effectively facilitate the work output. But with the increasing number of users and e-mails received and sent, things may become confusing and the workers may get disrupted. Therefore, the team believes that a finer platform -- complete with a device for the management and filtering of pertinent e-mails, better planning and encouraging workforce interaction -- shall be made available.
Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 edition is built upon 2013's features. The prevention of data loss, file recovery when the storage stops working and managed accessibility, and the center for web-based admin, have been improved, ZDNet reported.
Microsoft Outlook Web has been well improved in Exchange Server 2016. Current functions such as Undo, Sweep and Pin were included along with features which involve single-line inbox view, inline reply, emojis, themes and enhanced HTML rendering. The searches have been developed to bring more detailed and accurate results.
Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 has also brought in the improvement of extensions, which can be combined into existing user interface elements, is already possible with the Exchange Server 2016. Its capability to improve extensions will be perfect with its improved combination capabilities that streamlines file sharing and removes version control problems.
