"Minecraft," an MMO game, has appeared to upend the internet once again after announcing its "Story Mode" title.
"Minecraft" game had classically followed the open world technique of gameplay, which allows the players to mine, search for unique items and perform the alchemy. But a story mode shall discover users, rather than following a sequential type of gameplay, which centers largely on certain characters.
"Minecraft: Story Mode" shall give the players an option to play as a female or a male protagonist. Along with party members, the players will cross locations familiar to the "Minecraft" world to look for the Order of the Stone. Depending on what gender the player chooses, the main player shall be voiced by Catherine Taber or Patton Oswalth.
"Minecraft" developer Telltale Games recently released the story mode's trailer featuring the first of five episodes entitled "The Order of the Stone."
"Minecraft: The Order of the Stone" is composed of four members namely, the "Griefer" Magnus, the "Architect" Soren, the "Engineer" Ellegaard, and the "Warrior" Gabriel. The first episode will highlight Jesse, a playable character, who could either be a man or a woman according to the player's preference.
It is said that the concept for the title of "Minecraft: Story Mode" was actually inspired from YouTube's "let's player" Stampy Long-head, a "Minecraft" fan for a long time. The viewers are going to appreciate him for making his videos of Story Mode based on its original game, involving his creativeness and oddity to the genius of MMO.
"Minecraft: Story Mode" fans, despite the game's withdrawal from its original genre, have still shown their great anticipation for the latest game, while the others remain skeptical.
"Minecraft: Story Mode" the latest game, shall be brought by the Telltale Games, and initial episodes of the five part series is planning to drop this coming Oct. 13. It shall be available for download in all chief platforms like Xbox One, PS4, Wii U and PC.
