"Street Fighter V" players are getting more excited for the coming of the newest Street Fighter V as the year 2016 gets nearer. Following the announcement of the 7 timeless characters, a lot has been left wondering about the final classic character's identity. While the publishers and developers have remained silent about this, the character is unlikely to come from the "Street Fighter II."
"Street Fighter V" brand director Matt Dahlgren has spoken with Outerhaven Productions in which he went over the game as a whole. According to him, the roster will be composed of 16 playable characters, eight for each classic and the new characters. Due to this latest reveal about Zangief, it gives a total of 7 timeless characters so far. This makes the site of geeky community wonder if the next character is going to come from "Street Fighter II." Dahlgren simply remarked, "Not necessarily."
He further explained the classic characters, "I don't wish to give it away completely. We've been given many hands-on. The people who know, were able to follow and are pretty smart. But we want to keep a bit of a mystery on this final roster.... You probably much have an idea what these classic characters are. There are mainstays in this series, which are pretty quite always present."
With this clarification, such "classic" is never stuck to the "Street Fighter II," which triggers some rumors that this final classic character about to be revealed is actually Alex from "Street Fighter III" since Alex has made an appearance during the Street Fighter panel background at the New York Comic-Con. This further fuels the rumors. Another fact is the latest classic character roster has not included anyone yet from "Street Fighter III."
In the meantime, the gamers may look forward to trying out this game with the new beta that runs from Oct. 22 until 25, Ecumenical News reported. The players may gain an access through pre-ordering the game.
