BlackBerry Priv Update: 5.43-inch AMOLED Screen, Corning Gorilla Glass 4, 6-Core QSnapdragon 808 Device Available for Pre-Order

Blackberry Priv has been available for pre-order since Oct. 23. The said release is still rumored to happen in November.

Blackberry rumors have been going on since August saying that the company will be releasing their first Android-powered smartphone, the BlackBerry Priv, sometime in October or November. Just recently, news has surfaced that the phone is available for pre-order beginning Oct. 23.

BlackBerry Priv news include a screenshot post suggesting that BlackBerry will start taking pre-orders starting Oct. 23 for the Android-powered device, Mobile Syrup reported on Wednesday.

BlackBerry's CEO, Marty Beard, revealed through a tweet in his official account that fans may order their phones beginning Friday, Oct. 23, to be able to confirm the circulating rumors.

With regards to the news that the said phone will be released in November, remains to be a rumor. There were listings that the marked date for the release will be on Nov. 16, but it is still sadly to be confirmed by the phone company.

In other news, Droid-Life released an official specifications list of the BlackBerry Priv. In their post, the Priv is said to have a 5.43-inch AMOLED Screen equipped with a WQHD display and a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440. All these are to be protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

As for the hardware of the BlackBerry Priv, it is said to be powered by a hexa-core CPU Qualcomm with a 64-bit Snapdragon 808 processor, together with a 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded to 128GB through the MicroSD port.

BlackBerry Priv's other features also reportedly include an 18MP main camera with Auto-Focus and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology, a 2MP front-snapper, a non-removable 3,410mAh battery, and lastly, a sliding QWERTY keypad.

BlackBerry Priv's most awaited feature is its operating system. The Priv will run with the Android 5.1.1 also known as the Android Lollipop.
