Norman Reedus, the actor who plays Daryl Dixon in "The Walking Dead," will be getting his own reality show in AMC. The new series will be based on the actor's fondness of motorcycles.
The details of the upcoming show, titled "Ride With Norman Reedus," were recently announced by AMC. The show will debut with a series of episodes, with a total of six hours. As a famous bike enthusiast himself, Reedus will probe deeper into his ultimate passion by roving the open road and exploring meaningful places through the bikers' way of life.
"Ride With Norman Reedus" has already slated a number of pit stops, which include warehouses, tattoo parlors, smokehouses and more. The show will allow Reedus to interact with the best mechanics, motorcycle craftsmen and several collectors in the U.S., Design Trend reported.
However, Reedus' show was not set up for the actor to go on this exciting trip alone, as he will be teaming up with several special guests for every weekly installment. Guests will include some celebrities, including other actors, musicians as well as local chopper experts, who will set out to a particular destination.
The concerted effort is being credited in large part to its producers Banks Tarver and Ken Druckerman of Left/Right Productions.
The reality show's producer Druckerman was recently asked to give a statement about the upcoming series. He acknowledged Reedus' incredible love for motorcycle lifestyle. According to him, "Norman's interest in motorcycle culture and his natural ability to make friends wherever the road takes him are just two of the key ingredients that make this show so exciting for us."
Although fans of the actor/model may feel excited to watch AMC's new reality series, they would have to wait for a few more months as the upcoming show is not set to arrive until 2016. For now, Reedus' followers may enjoy his appearance as Daryl Dixon in the next episode of "The Walking Dead Season 6."
