Kendall Jenner Imitates Gigi Hadid And Lands Victoria's Secret Gig? Model Best Friends Turned Rivals?

Kendall Jenner appears to be shadowing her friend and fellow model Gigi Hadid's strides. The "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star has recently announced that she has been included in the lineup of models to walk at the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2015, along with her best buddy. With their biggest career development yet, rumors of rivalry reportedly hang in the air.

According to a report by E! Online, the fashion model and TV personality received the good news in time for her 20th birthday.

The news came to Jenner shortly after her best friend announced that she had notched up a deal with the same lingerie company. According to Vanity Fair, Victoria's Secret even posted a clip on Instagram showing the model's go-see and her priceless reaction when she learned that she got in.

Hadid, 20, later shared the photo on her Instagram, with the caption: "Couldn't keep back my tears!!!! Anyone that grew up with me knows that getting this show has been a dream of mine forever!"

The "KUWTK" star also expressed her joy through an Instagram post, in which she shared a caricature of herself with her best friend. Jenner's post read: "The best birthday present EVER! Always been one of my biggest dreams to be on this catwalk," while adding, "Oh and I get to do it with my best friend."

Slashing the Victoria's Secret deal is perhaps the biggest among numerous deals the two have both shared in the past, including a magazine page and other catwalk projects. Surprisingly enough, Hadid and Jenner apparently have remained their closeness and have not allowed their careers to turn them against each other. They even seem very happy to be walking on the same path.

It will be recalled that Hadid has declared her loyalty to Jenner in the past and said that she cherished their friendship above her career.

When asked if she has ever felt like she is competing with her best friend before scoring the Victoria's Secret deal together, Hadid told Harper's Bazaar: "Not really, I don't really feel competition like that."

"So literally, if they want Kendall [Jenner], they're not going to want someone who looks like me. It's completely different. I think friendships are a lot more valuable than one job. If you're going to let it ruin that, then that's stupid," she added.
